Project Description

Day project! The Bob Marshall Wilderness Foundation is partnering with the annual Flathead Waters Cleanup event to clean up trash in and around the waterbodies of the Flathead Watershed. Trash can cause harm to aquatic ecosystems and can prevent us from enjoying our favorite places. We hope you’ll join our team to help us keep our favorite natural areas clean – for us and for the fish!

After meeting at the Hungry Horse Ranger Station, your crew will work at sites along the South Fork Flathead River below the Hungry Horse Dam to clean up trash at popular boat launches and recreation sites. At day’s end, join other volunteers from around the Flathead at Sacred Waters Brewing Co. to celebrate a day well spent caring for and cleaning up our precious waterways (plus, your chance to win some sweet prizes!).

Safety gear and tools provided. Please bring a sack lunch from home to enjoy.

Cancellation Policy

It is very important to know that you are expected to commit to the project once you sign up. All of our projects take a lot of time and effort to organize and we want to make sure that we have full trips so that we can complete the project as outlined by our Forest Service partners. Please do not sign up for a trip unless you are committed to doing it.

We do, of course, understand that things happen and circumstances change, so if you must cancel, please do so as soon as possible.

To see how many spots are available click the SIGN UP button below. The second page will tell you when there are fewer than 4 spots remaining on a trip.

We encourage you to join the waitlist if a trip is full – we often have openings for these spots throughout the summer!
